Dear Lynda & Tony,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Billy. I from experience know how devastating it is to bury your own child as I too had to do the same ,but my son was only 19 at the time.Let’s face it Billy was known to make friends very easy and he was genuine article .Whom else can make you laugh so hard that the unthinkable happens? LOL that’s our Bill. What are the odds of going to the beach along with the other 100s of sun worshippers and have a seagull poop on your head? LOL that’s our Bill and thank goodness that Billy loved hats, but it was still funny! Unfortunately the one thing that stuck out was his uncanny streak of having bad luck. We did kid him of having it, but it was all in fun and for the most part he too found it funny. The single thing that made Bill Bill was his accuracy as being a walking encyclopedia of many “subjects”, but music & sports were his forte. Unfortunately I moved to the Toronto area and like so many people separated by miles we drifted apart. The one good thing that came of me moving away was my (late) brother, Warren and he became very good friends .
I am pretty confident that nobody will read my heartfelt letter which by the way is allowing me to reminisce on how important BS was to me and this too is allowing me to grieve considering I just found out 30 minutes prior. I give you my deepest sympathy to the entire Smith clan.
