Tonia L. Fenton

Tonia L. Fenton, age 46, passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2018 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with her daughter and sister by her side. Born January 25th, 1972, Tonia was the daughter of Mary and Wayne Fenton, sister of Bonnie Jackson and Debra Fenton and loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Tonia is survived by her daughter Brittany Schaafsma and her son Dylan Schaafsma.

Tonia loved, cared for, and brought joy to everyone throughout her life. Tonia was a beautiful soul with many kind words to offer to all those is need. Many people made beautiful memories with Tonia and this is how she would like to be remembered.

There will be no funeral or visitation held for Tonia, as this is against her wishes. Tonia has requested a celebration of life be held in her honour. Where friends and family will gather and celebrate the joyful life and memories Tonia made. The celebration will be held, Saturday, June 2nd, in the backyard of her home (rain date, Sunday June3rd). All family and friends are invited to come celebrate between 3-8pm and close family and friends will be invited to stay later. Further details will be available closer to the date of celebration.

  1. I miss you so much Tonia. I look at your last text to me was I love you! I’m so sorry I could not find that cure you were counting on me life is so unfair. If God would have gave us more time. I will forever remember your last hug and you telling me not to cry. I will try to be strong for you because I know you would want me to be. I will do all the things you made me promise to do.   6. Britt and Dylan my heart aches for you and your are your moms world. She loved you to infinity and beyond. I love you both and I’m always here for you and the family. She is missed greatly by everyone she knew. I know your mom would want us all not to be sad. To celebrate her life.
    Not only was she my bestie she was like a sister. I love and miss her very much. I cherish all our memories from when we were kids to our adult memories @ the bend with our families. Hunter loves and adores you. God gained a beautiful angel. The best. I’m going to miss her shaking her head when I did something clumsy or giving me great advice and she never smoothed it over she said the way it was and I loved her for that.
