Sieger “Sam” Woudwijk

In His time, God took his child, Sieger Sytze “Sam” Woudwijk, on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Born September 19, 1962 in Visbuurt/Ternaard, Friesland, Holland. Predeceased by his parents George (Sjoerd) Woudwijk (1975) and Frances (Froukje) Peltier (Woudwijk, nee Planting) (2006). Survived by his daughter Melissa Pacey (Woudwijk), son Corey Woudwijk (Allison) of Kelowna and grandchildren Logan and Jessica Woudwijk, and Parker Pacey. Sam is also survived by his siblings, Yvonne (Ray), Richard (Margie), Dirk, Earl (Tracy), Elly (Ron), Diana (Joel) and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by niece Jessica. Sam, who enjoyed the outdoors, who was a welder by trade, enjoyed his time at coffee shops and was actively involved at the Charing Cross United Church. As per the family wishes, there will be a private visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charing Cross United Church.

  17. My condolences to Sam’s family. Sam worked with my husband, Gerry, on the road for many years while at Dorssers. There was never a dull moment with those two. They were always laughing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the whole Woudwijk Family.Sorry for your loss of Sam he will be missed.We meet when your family moved to old 98 highway many years ago .Sam hung out with my middle brother Neil and Sam always gave me the time of day and always had a story to tell.A few years ago Sam spent the afternoon with us as we celebrated my dad’s 80th birthday.Sam was a great friend R.I.P. buddy.Gene(Bean)Paul Reaume.
