Romeo Lucier

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Romeo Joseph Lucier on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019 at 89 years of age. Romeo was married to his cherished wife, Mary (Blondeel), for 68 years. He was the proud father of Patsy who died as an infant, Wayne Lucier, Dan Lucier and his companion Vicki Tardif, and Elaine McMullin and her husband Jay. He will be missed by his grandchildren Ryan (Natalie) McMullin, Laura (Jeff) Casagrande, Chanel Lucier, Joshua Lucier and Charlene Lucier and his great grandchildren Bryden, Hudson, Callie and Ace. A dear son to the late Dan and Arvilla Lucier, Romeo was loved by his sisters Jeannette, Barbara, Joanne and sister-in-law Inez and his pre-deceased brothers, Gerald and Jerome. He is also predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Linda. A retired farmer, Romeo worked hard all through his life. He could build houses, fix anything and make beautiful cabinets and furniture. He ran ice taxi off St. Luke’s Bay for 70 + years guiding thousands of fishermen. Romeo was kind, patient and helped others whenever he could. He lived life with courage, compassion and was an example of the perfect father, husband and grandpa. He will be forever missed and loved.Romeo’s family will remember him privately and honourably.   6. Dear Mary, Dan, Elaine, Wayne & families, so sorry for your loss. Romeo was one of my favorite cousins. He always had something funny to say and always had a smile. Stan & I have fond memories of him taking us out on Lake St. Clair in his boat for fishing. It was a fun day! Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

    Lorraine and I were so sorry to hear of Romeo’s passing. Romeo always treated everyone with respect no matter their age or who they were and it was a pleasure to know him. He was always so nice to be around, so kind and gentle. I have fond memories of him from when I was growing up on the farm.

    Sending our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Romeo. We will miss seeing him sitting outside during the Spring and Summer months. It seems like every time we passed by , Romeo was out there enjoying the beautiful weather.
