“Ria” Hendrika-Johanna Kellam

With heavy hearts we announce the joyful homecomings of “Ria” Hendrika-Johanna Kellam  into the presence of her lord and saviour on  Saturday December 14, 2019 at her home in the arms of her husband  Daughter of  the late Joe and Miena Poolman. Wife of Glenn for over 30 years. Mother of Connor E. Kellam,(Bethany Payne)  Morgan McKenzie Kellam and the late Chance Riley Kellam. Sister of Heidi (Hilda) Mason, Connie O’Neill, Fred and Elaine Poolman, Joanne Watters, Rob and Annie Poolman. She will also be missed dearly by  Samantha , Michaela, Keith  and many  other nieces and nephews Deeply missed by her special friends Paula and John Bushey and their family
Ria enjoyed 20 years working at Frederick’s Transport where she met Glenn. Later she pursued a passion for Avon and served many clients  for over 20 yrs which allowed her to care for her children and family .
All are welcome to come and Celebrate Ria’s Life on Friday December 20, 2019 at 11 am at Evangel Community Church (76 Sandys St.). Visitation will take place from 10 am until time of service at 11 am. Celebration of life and luncheon to follow the service.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to her sister Connie for all the comfort and support for the many Doctor , chemo and test appointments , and  also to  Stacey and the homecare staff and nurses that provided compassionate attention to Ria’s needs during this challenging chapter. Special Thanks to her prayer warrior Jane  Kellier for many hours of support and care . Anyone  wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Sick Kid’s hospital or special needs children.

  17. I am so extremely sorry to hear of Ria’s passing. We were neighbours for many years and she was always loved to entertain and have jewelry parties or whatnot at the house. Glen, Connor, and Morgan I am so extremely sorry for the loss and pain you are feeling at this time! Thoughts and strength be with you.
