Mike Day “Day Boy”

DAY, Michael Brian “Day Boy”, passed away Thursday March 16, 2017 after a courageous battle, while surrounded by family at Chatham Kent Hospice. Son of the late Marlene Mathews and Dan Day. Husband of Cindy Day (nee Morrell). Father of Michelle Beintema (Richard), Melissa Day (Blair), Michael Day Jr. (Chantelle) and Danielle Day (Andre). Grandfather of Tori-Beth, Hannah, Alexis, Brooke, Christopher and Hailey. Brother of Randy, Dan, Ken (Rose), Wayne (Ida) and the late Karen and Christine. Survived by Heather Renaud. Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Mike owned and operated Chatham Window Cleaners for over 25 years and is proud to have the company continue with his son Mike Jr. All are welcome to gather for visitation on Wednesday March 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Kent Belgium Dutch Club (34 Byng Ave). A funeral with take place on Thursday at 11:00 am at the KBD Club with Rev. David Tatsu officiating . Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.

  8. It was a total shock to hear of Mikes Passing. My condolences to Cindy and the kids/family. The boys and I send thoughts and prayers your way. Mike was a man that definitely did not look like who he really was … He was a Classic and once you sat and chatted even a few minutes with him you could tell he had a zest for life and a love for all he held dear. A very hard worker and always a smile even in the worst of weather. I truly was blessed for having known Mike over the years and will never be forgotten. RIP Day Boy!!
