Mary Claeys

CLAEYS, Mary Ann – It is with great sadness that we announce that Mary peacefully passed away on January 10, 2021, at Copper Terrace, at the age of 93. Wife of the late Polydor Claeys (2009). Daughter of the late John and Eva Watson (nee Lloyd).

Much loved mother of John Paul Claeys (Lorrie Stewart), the late Ruth Tattersall (Jim), Raymond Claeys (Pam Waterworth), Judy Stoner (Allan), and Nancy Jefferies (Leroy).

Sister of Helen Dawson (the late Ben), the late Bill & Mary Watson, Carol Gagnier (Roger).

Much loved grandmother of Andy Tattersall, Joanna, Allison, Brandon Claeys, Lori & Katie Jefferies, and Ben & Lisa Stoner, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

She will be missed dearly by Emily Stewart (mother of Maebella) and special great-grand daughter Maebella Stewart. Maebella, “Sweet Pea” was the apple of her eye; they could not get enough of each other.

Mary is finally reunited with her beloved daughter, Ruth Tattersall (2018), and her precious grandson Jarred Tattersall (2000).

Mary will be fondly remembered by many friends and staff at Copper Terrace where she was very well cared for, and where many wonderful memories were made!  Thank you to the Copper Terrace staff and friends for making Mary’s final years memorable!

Cremation has taken place and burial will take place at a later date.  At Mary’s request, there will be no visitation or service.

As you walk along your path of Life,

Know that I’ll be holding your hand.

Tho separated by time and space

In your heart I’ll always remain.
