Mary Ann Earl

Earl, Mary Ann.  It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Jean Earl of Dresden, on July 11th 2018 at 68 years of age. Mary Ann spent her final days outside surrounded by family and friends. She passed away peacefully in the warm breeze of the garden while listening to her windchimes and holding the hands of her best friend Pat and her daughter Rebecca. Missing her terribly are her husband of 45 years, Edward Earl, her daughter Rebecca Earl and husband Michael Tiffin as well as her grandchildren Clark and Henry Tiffin. She will also be missed by her sister Donna Pellerin, brother-in-law Al Pellerin and nephews Chad and wife Jennifer, Shawn and Kyle. Adoring grandmother, enthusiastic gardener and avid treasure hunter. She was happiest when surrounded by friends and family enjoying a meal she lovingly prepared. Mary Ann will be joining her family already in heaven – her parents John and Stephanie Samek (nee Piacek). We wish to thank all of Mary Ann’s family, friends and neighbours for their love and support during her short but brave battle with cancer. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the staff at Sydenham District Hospital as well as the staff and volunteers at the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their compassion during Mary Ann’s time in their care.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mary Ann’s name may be made to the Chatham Kent Hospice PAW – Pet and Wildlife Rescue. Online condolences may be left at
Close friends and family are invited to celebrate Mary Ann’s life on Saturday, July 21 at 11:30 AM at The Old Czech Hall, 116 St. John Street E., Dresden, ON.
