  1. I worked with Hippy at Canada post for just 8 years. He was a one of a kind person, kind hearted and very very out spoken. I had the pleasure of working beside him for 2 years and him and I were like 2 peas in a pod. We were always teasing each other (well more him teasing me). He always helped me put my flyers together. Hated flyers, and hated when supervisors would walk down our aisle. Gonna miss you like crazy. Until we meet again Hippy honey. Purrrrrrrrrr

  2. Dave always kept me laughing. He could make a boring UFC fight a howl. He has made me a better person cause of our connection over the last 6 weeks. I will never forget how strong he was while facing his last days. I can’t tell you how many times he help me through some very emotion times. Funny you’d think it would be the other way around. He really touch my heart. Going to really miss watching Hockey Night in Canada with him. Great Person.

  3. Dave, very fond memories of when we started at Canada Post in the late I970s. Oh, where did those years go?Always loved your world view and you told it as passionately and colourfully as you saw it. We were both politically incorrect, each in our own way. Dave, I am truly blessed to have known you. May the Almighty hold you in his arms forever.

  4. There’s an old saying “you can choose your friends, but not your family”. Well, if I could have chosen a brother, it would be you. I already miss our discussions (arguments?) on all things sorts and politics, as well as other things. Thanks for 56 great years brother and rest in peace.

  5. I am truly saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. Dave was mail carrier to my house a few years back and wondered where he had gone to…he was such a lover of animals. Always had treats for dogs and cats on his route…so sorry for your loss, very sad.
