Louie (Louis) Verfaillie, age 72 passed away at his residence in Chatham-Kent surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He is survived by his loving sons Bradley Verfaillie (Keith Schilbe), Michael (Cathie) Verfaillie, and cherished grandchildren Michael Verfaillie (Kayley Cyganik) and Kristen Verfaillie (Jason Laprise).
Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Alice Verfaillie, brother Julien Verfaillie and sister Brenda (Ron) Griffore.
Survived by a brother Gary (Kim) Verfaillie and many nieces and nephews.
Louie was known for his skilled trait of being a high pressure welder. He worked for several local welding companies. Louie enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren of whom he was very proud. Louie enjoyed boating, fishing, yard sales, dancing and spending time with his friends. Louie had a true passion for Elvis music and was truly the life of any party.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Canadian Belgium and Dutch Club at 34 Byng Ave., Chatham, ON.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Life Transitions.
Memorial donations may be made to Community Living Chatham-Kent.
