McDonald, Lena Passed away peacefully at the Chatham Kent Hospice on Friday January 17, 2020 at the age of 52. Mother to LeeAnn McDonald and Lee Buckland. Grandmother to Ethan Duphette. Survived by siblings Lise Boutin (Will), Florent Valiquette (Suzie), Laurent Valiquette (Sylvie), Armand Valiquette, Lucille Ouellette, Lucie Valiquette, and Louise Valiquette (Dennis). Predeceased by parents Lucien and Estelle Valiquette, and siblings Fernand Valiquette, Lynn Ouimet and Linda Valiquette. Lena also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Whether Lena was showing you up at the pool tables or breaking a sweat on the dancefloor, she loved to enjoy life and have a good time. Lena was a hard worker and a definite go getter! She was also known to be a little stubborn and very strong-willed, and even in her last days was giving the amazing staff at the hospice a run for their money. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday January 25 at 11am at the Chatham Legion Br. 642. Donations made to the Chatham Kent Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
