Larry Goldsmith

Kenneth Lawrence Goldsmith “Larry”, passed away peacefully Tuesday May 19, 2020 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, 80 years of age. Son of the late Arthur and Edith Goldsmith. Loving husband of Beverley for over 56 years. Father of Carrie Visser, Brad and Sue Goldsmith, and Brion Goldsmith. Grandfather of Christian Carr, Angelica Carr, Ariel Visser, Josiah Visser, and Trinity Visser. Brother of Jeanne Axford (Bob), Richard Goldsmith (Grace), Mary Kay Barbie (Jim). Survived by brother in law Jim Johnson. Predeceased by siblings  Rev James and Norma Goldsmith,  Fred and Lucille Goldsmith, and Joy Johnson. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Larry was well known for his time as owner/operator of Queen St Variety and also worked many years at Dominion Grocer. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Salvation Army.

Larry’s family will be remembering him privately.

  1. I am sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. He was a great man. I worked for Larry and Fred at the Queen Street Variety for several years. My thoughts and prayer are with the family.

    It is with our sincerest sympathy of the passing of your brother Larry. Although we did not know Larry, if he is anything like his brother, he was a good man. We pray for him to meet His Heavenly Father and find the Peace that passes all understanding. We grieve with you and yet celebrate Larry’s life here on earth.
