Larry Coke

 

Larry Thomas Coke passed away Friday July 31, 2020 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance with family at his side. Son of the late Thomas and Beatrice Coke. Husband of the late Mary Margaret Coke (nee Sanders). Father of Jennie Coke (Kyle Harvey). Grandfather of Ryan Beauvais, Macy Harvey and Jaxson Harvey. Brother of John Coke (Betty), the late Patricia Moerman, Donna Cross (Larry) and Diane Brown (Francis). Survived by Brother in law Murray Moerman and sister in law Betty Ann Chase (Dan). Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews. Larry started work many years ago with Wally Shaw feed mill and later worked for Southwest Ag. He enjoyed playing pepper with the boys with Harold Butler often hosting card nights. He was a gentle and kind man, with a tremendous love for his family, especially his grandchildren. A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

  15. I am so very sorry to learn of Larry’s passing. I have wonderful memories of the times I would spend at the Coke family home as a young girl when my parents, Walter and Eileen Kelley, would visit at Tom and Bea’s. My thoughts and prayers are with the Coke family during this time…….

  16. This past weekend, the August long weekend, was the “Annual Coke Classic” 9-hole golf tournament played at the Black Creek Golf Course in Oil Springs, ON. I first met Larry on the golf course over 20 years ago at one of the first Coke Classic’s. Larry was a great man on and off the golf course. He will be missed. Our thoughts are with the Coke’s during is time. Tim and Jen Koen.

  24. I was very sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. I remember Larry as a faithful and honest worker at the Wallace Shaw Mill in Rutherford. Also, many ball games were played on Larry’s front yard. Those times were fun and memorable. Hoping the Coke family find peace and comfort in all the memories shared about their Larry who was a gentle soul.
