Kim Clements

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Kimberly Anne Clements at home on June 17, 2020 supported by her loving family. Born in Chatham to Beverly (2017) and Sally Clements, Kim is survived by her mother, Sally Anne Clements (nee King) and her two children Matt VanPuymbroeck (Chantal) and Shawna (Scott) Bosselaar (nee VanPuymbroeck), along with their father Darrell VanPuymbroeck. Predeceased by infant daughter Melissa (1985). Sister to Karen (Duane) VanPuymbroeck. Devoted Nana to Braydon and McKayli VanPuymbroeck and Cameron and Amelia Bosselaar. Special aunt to Eric (Kaitlyn) VanPuymbroeck and Karly VanPuymbroeck. Loved by her many cousins in Dresden and Stratford. Kim was employed at Mahle for 10 years. Kim had a short and unexpected battle with cancer and lived her remaining three months at home, surrounded by love and the care of her mother, children, and sister. Known affectionately by her family as “Big Red” for her long red hair, Kim had a firecracker personality that was larger than life. She was a woman who knew her mind and didn’t hesitate to share her opinions. Kim showed the depth of her strength and courage when she entered the House of Sophrosyne in 2011 and embarked on a journey of sobriety, something she maintained until her passing. In sobriety, Kim found peace in her renewed connections with her close family and God. She was a loving Nana involved in the daily lives of her grandchildren. Family and friends will miss her laugh, her sharp sarcasm, and her voice (which entered the room two minutes before she did). Kim and her family extend their deepest gratitude to the following people: her mother Sally for opening her home to Kim, Marybeth Cadotte (VON), Amy Glassford-Bailey, Stephanie Turcotte and Cory Henry, Elston’s Pharmacy, the Bayshore Home Health team and finally, the members of Praise Fellowship Church who graciously provided meals and spiritual comfort. Friends and family are welcome to attend Kim’s funeral service on Monday, June 22 at 11 am at Praise Fellowship Church, however due to COVID-19 mandates, it is requested that anyone wishing to attend contact Matt or Shawna first. A private family reception will follow. Donations can be made in Kim’s name to the House of Sophrosyne in Windsor, Praise Fellowship Church, or Ronald McDonald House.

  21. So very sad to hear of Kim’s physical passing from this world. I know you are all hurting terribly, barely having had time to wrap your heads around the news. She has left us far too fast…But rest assured Kim’s spirit will be around everyone that she loved and she’ll be a guiding light to her grandbabies and a guardian angel if ever the need arises. She loved you all fiercely and I know she is sticking around for a while. So say and ask whatever you need…she is listening and will give you the answers…and the time you need…she told me she wasn’t ready yet either and isn’t leaving for good until her grandbabies get married. My heart goes out to you all. Kim and I had only recently reacquainted from years gone by and we had some fantastic conversations and laughs. What a wonderful soul! I wanted so badly to visit her but thought better of it with the challenging days ahead of her and the lingering viral threat. I really wish I would have now.
    Healing prayers to all.
