Ken Vickery

VICKERY, Kenneth Albert, while surrounded by family went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 88 years of age. Son of the late Bertie and Lillian Vickery. Loving husband of Eileen for 65 years. Loving father of Keith (Laurie), Susan (Larry), Heather (Dan) and Kevin (Amy). Cherished Papa of Christina, Jennifer, Emma, Sarah, Michelle, Melissa, Michael, Danielle, Madison, Jillian and Lydia. Beloved great grandfather of Tori-Beth, Hannah, Alexis, Hailey, Brooke and Christopher. Brother in law of John and Pat Waugh. Ken worked in England with Jackson and Gocher for 17 years and later another 27 years with Woodall Construction as an estimator and project manager. He enjoyed over 50 years of active membership at Emmanuel Baptist Church, living his immense faith and sharing his talents as a Deacon, leader and choir member. Ken was instrumental in the maintenance and construction of the church throughout the years. All are welcome to attend a visitation on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 9:30 -11:30 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church (100 McNaughton Ave West) A funeral will follow visitation at 11:30 am in the church. Burial to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation.   2. Many condolences to all of the family for the loss of Ken. Even though I was quite young I have happy memories of the time spent with Ken and Eileen’s family whilst in Farncombe, UK and remember them all fondly. My thoughts are with you all at this time.

  5. I have had the privilege of knowing Ken while being a friend of 40 years to Heather. This is one of the kindest men I have met. Rest in peace Ken.
