Justin Martin

Justin was a wonderfully unique person. He had a huge heart for others and his smile and laughter were contagious. He loved to help and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for someone who needed it. Justin was one of the hardest workers one could ask for. His family and daughter meant so much to him and he enjoyed spending time with them and with his friends.

Justin Martin passed away on July 19, 2021 at the age of 44. He will be forever missed by his parents, Denise and Dean McEllistrum and Tom Martin, his sister Tina Martin and step brother Cale McEllistrum. Justin sadly leaves behind his wonderful daughter, Destiny Travis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Miera and Kohen McEllistrum, and Payton and Brodie MacWilliams. His family made him laugh and family gatherings without Justin will never be the same.

We will hold a celebration of life for Justin at a later date. We will miss you Justin. As you often said, “not everyone likes me, but not everyone matters”. You matter so much to us and we will love and remember you always.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Justin’s passing. He was a beautiful soul, who like you said was always the first to help whomever he could and he was sure to greet everyone with his infectious smile. I will always remember the JP Christmas parties and having Justin as my partner for the games portion of the night. Justin, knowing how shy and awkward I could be in those situations always went out of his way to help me relax and have some fun. Reminding me it was only a game and he didn’t really care if we won or lost, he was just there to have a good time.
Justin will be remembered and missed by so many.
I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Denise, Dean and all if Justin’s family in this most difficult time.

  10. I would like to speak to who is ever reading this. My name is Kathie Lang and I am heart broken for your lose. I owned the house where all the kids …hung their hat. Your child was the most real person ever. It was nice to see in such a young person. Whatever he seen growing up made him who he was. I would always tell him to stay wise and true to himself’…and he did. I used to tell my grandkids that he was truely a real person….they would say is the the boy that stops bby and helps you out with the lawn. They would say ‘he always hugs you …so he must be a friend. I am sorry for rambling ..Take Care …Peace

  13. Ron and I were very sorry to hear of the sudden passing away of Justin! He was to young! Justin worked for us many years ago and was always willing to do any job he was assigned to! He would always have a smile for me passing through the office! We pray for strength for his family as they have to do one of the hardest things in live, saying good bye! Memories of Justin will live on!

  14. I didn’t know the family. But I send my deepest condolences at this time. I’ve known Justin 5 years. And in that time he’s always been there whenever I called. And seemed always happy to do so. He was always so well mannered and polite. He was a no bs straight shooting, honest man. He lived his life to work. To the extreme at times. He had an amazing work ethic actually and took pride in each job done. We were talking about taking a road trip out east to see our families. I am sad to know I’ll have to go by myself now. But I know he’ll be right there watching. He made some pretty close friends along the way that I know will miss him awfully. Taken far too soon buddy. Rest easy now xoxo

  15. To Justin’s Family,
