Julia Narbutas

Julia Narbutas – passed away on July 11, 2020, at Riverview Gardens. Born in Lithuania, she made Canada her new home after WWII, with her husband Walter. Julia was a farmer in Rodney ON for over 50 years, running the farming operation after the early death of her husband. She raised 4 children – daughters Nijole, Dalia, and Ramona, and a son, Gedi, who passed away at age 20.. Two sons-in-law. Jim and Charlie, and two grandchildren, Jessica (Troy) and Nathan (Jenn), rounded out her close-knit family.
Julia resided in Chatham for the past 12 years, 9 of which were at Riverview Gardens.
The family thanks and praises the exceptionally caring, dedicated staff at Riverview Gardens, and thanks Dr. Adrian Verburg for his care and compassion over his many years as her physician.”

  3. Dear Nijole, Dalia and Ramona. We were saddened to hear about the passing of your Mom. We have very fond memories of ” Julia,” Most importantly we were always kept up to date on her two treasured grandchildren, Jessica and Nathan. She truly was so proud of all her family.

  4. Nijole Dahlia Ramona. Just found out about your moms death. I have so many memories of her and they are all so good. From playing in the pool and your crazy guard geese and her yummy squares. My kids got to love her too . Missed her so much when she moved to Chatham . She was great.

  5. The Lithuanian-Canadian Club of West Elgin is saddened to hear of the loss of Julia Narbutas, one of it’s founding members. She was an active member of the club when she lived in Rodney. She will always be remembered for her positive outlook.

    The Club would like to pass along our condolences to Nijole, Dalia and Ramona and family members.
