  1. I am missing my bestie terribly. I lost my spiritual sister, Judy Boody. We share Valentine birthdays and so much of deeply living. We always had a way of honouring each other whether we were near or far. We were strong women who shared our emotions, fears and changes and thus empowered one another’s growth. Sharing made everything better whether to with food, work, play, and laughter…and could we laugh together. I feel a deep deep loss in my soul as I grieve hard right now knowing that she will show up to me in many ways that are synchronistic for she understands that. Good bye my darling friend; we will meet again. I love you dearly.

  10. I taught Judy when she went into nursing, and she was a wonderful memorable student who went on to be a wonderful and caring, compassionate nurse. One of the nuns who taught nursing used to say “first a person, and then a nurse”, and Judy exemplified that by being the person she was, and nursing only allowed her the opportunity to share her strength with others. She has touched every life of every person she met.

  11. Dear Families. Judy was one of life’s true treasures. We shared our love of sitting by the beach watching the waves and the peace of just being there together. And of course the Perch Lunch at Park Side. Rest now my friend.

Since the days when I was such a young girl in Lynnwood playing with Gabe, to hanging out at her place with her niece Carm lived with her, to the occasional chance meetings in the aisles of Winners. Always a smile, and those kind, kind eyes. Such a wonderfully kind and loving woman.

  30. I will never forget your mother. She and I had so much in common…mom, nurse, and friend as well as neighbours. She and I had many a conversation about the goodness of life and what it held for us. I could tell you stories, but suffice it to say how wonderful a mom and compassionate person she was. I feel truly blessed that I knew her, and shared so much with her.

May you know the same peace and love that your Mom, grandma/aunt/sister, so beautifully expressed in her daily living.

  52. Good morning, Chad and Gabe,
Please accept our most sincere condolences, on behalf of my wife and myself. We are happy to have had the pleasure of meeting your mom, with the beautiful spirit that she displayed, absolutely contageous. We could tell that she felt a great great deal of pride and joy in both of your accomplishments. We are sure you will continue to make her proud, now with the help of a heavenly angel.

We are sad for your loss, may she rest in peace.

I’m attempting to make arrangements to join you in the service tomorrow, at the last minute. Not sure if that will be possible.

  53. Gabe, Chad and families,
Thinking of you at this sad time. I have been fondly remembering all of the wonderfilled times and laughs I shared with your mom all over the place – but especially those in Banff. I will cherish the memory of us climbing to the top of the mountain in Lake Louise to the Lake Agnes tea house together. Her spirit is as beautiful, joyfilled and peaceful as that view. I will always remember her there.
    Take good care.

  54. We are all better for having known this wonderful, beautiful woman. She was fierce in her love for her family. Her spirit shone though in everything she did and her smile lit up a room. We shared a deep friendship over many years and went on many adventures together. I cannot put into words how much I will miss her. I am comforted by the fact that she is now resting peacefully.

  55. Gabe, Jodi, Chad, Becky, Jayden and Jax…..I am so sorry for your loss. Judy loved you so much and she was definitely loved by you all. She couldn’t have had better caring and loving sons, a testiment to her for sure. She was definitely a ray of sunshine and a joy to be around and will most surely be missed by many. Thinking of you all, with my deepest sympathies, Lisa XOXO

  56. A picture of Judy I carry in my heart. The memory of her joyful friendship I carry in my soul. When time grows thin she will still help carry me onward. Through the veil that seems to separate us all the gifts of life she gave still flow towards me and those she loved. From what she loved, A Course in Miracles, which led her to her wholeness (slightly amended to read in the voice of women):

” I am God’s Daughter, complete and healed and whole, shinning in the reflection of His Love. In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life. In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite. I am in Heaven where His Love resides.”

    AND THIS:

You came but for a while. When Jesus called
You were content to go. For who would stay
To watch the dreary cycle of the night’s
Turn coldly grey with each returning day?

This world was not your home. Would God allow
His child to wander long without a home
Which He Himself makes bright? Your tired eyes
Closed gratefully when be at last said, “Come”.

You have forgot all this. All thoughts that hurt,
All sorrow, all regret, have ceased to be
In your remembrance. He Who called to you
Has loosened all your chains and set you free.

Because I love you I would have you go.
Because I love Him I can scarcely weep.
Because He loves you I can scarcely weep.
And in that glory you but seem to sleep.

He came in mercy. Let me give Him thanks.
You stayed with us until you saw Him smile
And tell your is finished. He will come
For me that way in just a little while.

It is this for this I wait, in certainty
That He Who made the stars will not forget,
I will be glad so see Himsmile at me,
Or if He pleases, to wait a little yet.
