James Bikow

James Arthur Bikow born January 6, 1954 passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer on June 26,  2020. Jim is predeceased by his Father Kenneth Bikow, Mother Louise Pequeneza. Survived by his children, Robert (Catherine) and their children Evalyn and Vivienne, Jennifer, Hannah, Jason, and dear friend Lisa (Hannah & Jason’s mother), Brother Michael, Niece Carly (Phil), Cane and Cearra, Aunt Yolande, in-laws Bruce, Cathy, Steven (Sharon), Connor and Declan. Jim worked tirelessly as an accountant for Hyundai, Magna and Martinrea. In his earlier years he was an avid curler, loved classic western and gladiator type movies and music. The Beatles, The Who, Jethro Tull and U2 were among some of his favourites. He had a natural love of the old world and ancient history. He enjoyed cooking and being at his “place of peace” in Coboconk, ON. To know him was to Love him. He was generous to a fault and always lived for today. He always had a smile and a laugh for everyone. He was a very loving father and friend to so many.

  1. I had the please of knowing Jimmy for six years. He was a devoted father, a faithful co-worker and dedicated employee. But I will always remember him as a good friend.

    God bless him for many years of support And humour he brought to people he touched.

  4. I met Jim in 1986 while we both worked at Hyundai. Our paths crossed again while working at Magna and we maintained a close friendship throughout the years…I am filled with sorrow knowing he is no longer with us, but I will cherish his friendship and guidance he gave me over the years….Rest in peace Jim and know you will be truly missed by me….Until we meet again….xoxo

  6. I met Jim at Invotronics back in 2007 and worked with him on and off for about 5 years through some tough times. He did a great job and always found a way to lighten up the day.
    I spoke to him last fall and I was pleased that he had found peace with work and family, he was so proud of his kids!!

  7. I knew James back in 1988 when I joined Invotronics, he was my hiring manager. He was always fun to work with. He was a good boss, good coach and good friend. It is shocking to hear that he passed away. I visited him last summer in Chatham in my last trip in Toronto. I can’t imagine it was our last gathering. James was so proud of his kids and their accomplishments. My condolences to James family. Please let me know where James would rest in and I would like to pay my my visit to his resting place in my next visit to Toronto. RIP James! God bless you! Will always remember you! Eddie LUI

  11. I have just this day been informed of Jim’s passing. My condolences to Sue and Lisa, Mike. I first met Mike in St.Maria Goretti in 1968. Then got to know Jim from the time he and Mike/Mom lived on Commonwealth Ave. He was always athletic , educated and kind. He once offered me the use of their cottage anytime I wanted. Have not seen much of him as I left Canada about 20 years ago. I did drop in on him a few times at his cottage. Once just after the road was reopened after a major storm. My condolences to all his family.

  13. I worked with Jim many years at Magna. I have many fond memories from our times together which will always be with me. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.
