Gord Pailey

Some angels have wings and a halo…

Other angels ride motorcycles and drink their Jack Daniels on the rocks”

We got to have one last drink and one last goodbye as we said farewell to Gord Pailey on Monday, April 26 2021 at 4:06 PM at Chatham Kent Hospice. Father of Ken Pailey (Deb), Michael Pailey (Julie). Proud grandfather of Destiny Johnson (Justin) and Hunter Pailey. Great Grandfather of Jemma and Della Johnson. Brother of Craig Pailey (Pat), Sam Pailey (Pat) and Laura Shaw. Uncle of Michael Pailey, Matthew Pailey, Deb Adams, Marnie Pailey, Danyce Molengraaf and Misty Pailey. Also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Gord was always very true to himself. He spent the last week and a half in the Chatham-Kent Hospice. He enjoyed the room and appreciated the staff and volunteers for their care and compassion. Gord was very relaxed, comfortable, and content at the hospice. Those who knew Gord will remember him as a kind-hearted and straightforward guy. He missed his motorcycle every day and after many years of pain from a motorcycle collision, he is at peace and pain free and hopefully somewhere riding again!

After listening to a few of his favourite songs he requested Elvis Presley – I did it my way…“I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried, The record shows I took the blows, And did it my way..”

And he certainly did do it his way, Rest In Peace Gord, Dad, Brother, Papa. You will be missed!
