Gary and Linda were great friends. We spent many winters in Mexico with them as well as gatherings back home. Gary called Dave “Cisco” and Dave called Gary “Poncho”.These names came about on our first trip to Mexico. We will miss his humour and his generosity. Dave will miss his many golf games with Gary. We are sure that Gary and Wilf are playing some golf together now.

  33. Sincere condolences Linda on the passing of Gary. Have known him for two generations. I think he skipped out of school with my Uncle Dan Raes, a few times. He passed the farm at least once a day to go to The Central. He would lay on the horn when he went by. Wouldn’t matter if I was outside, I would recognize the Escalade horn not matter what hr. He certainly enjoyed many conversation with my parents, Martin & Germaine Schaap. I will miss him drilling me with nursing questions and the fact that my name will always be “kiddo”.. His honest and humorous heart will be missed.

I don’t know if you remember me or not, it has been a very long time back to high school days when we used to ride the bus together, play ball at French’s church ball diamond and the Darrell ball diamond. It seems like a lifetime ago! I know to this day every time I drive by the old homestead I think of him. I often told my partner that I used to hang out with the family that lived there. Linda I am not sure that I ever met you which is a shame! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time!
