  8. So very sad to hear of Garry’s passing. He was my “mentor” and a wonderful friend. We travelled many places together when catastrophes hit. He will be sorely missed. RIP my friend.

  9. Denise, thank you so much for your phone call but I am obviously very saddened to learn of Garry’s passing. As a young adjuster trainee, I firstly met Garry in Kirkland Lake. I was subsequently transferred to Timmins and upon my arrival there was a telephone message from Garry. We were competitors with obviously vastly different experience levels. I returned Garry’s call and he stated “Steve I know you have a number of files in front of you and if there is anything I can do to help you, please don’t hesitate”. I took Garry up on his offer and obviously his character spoke volumes. I have always held Garry Wilson in the highest regard. In more recent times, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Garry along with our telephone conversations. Garry will obviously be missed.

  10. As I stop to count my blessings, there is one thing that rings true. I will always be grateful for the friend I found in you. Times that brought us closer through our laugher and grateful to have someone, as kind and good as you. Will miss you.

    Your Stepson

  11. I was saddened to learn of Garry’s passing. Although I left Timmins 40 years ago, I remember my association with Garry, like it was yesterday. Friend, confidante, mentor, are just a few of the very positive influences he had on what was then, my future. It is said that the measure of a person is the extent to which they “made a difference”. I believe Garry made a positive difference in every life he touched. RIP my friend.
