Francesca devoted the last 30 years of her life as an active contributor to the well being of others in the Chatham-Kent community. After suffering a stroke at age 43, she decided she would dedicate the rest of her life to helping others. She involved herself in numerous volunteer opportunities to include; Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Hospital, Theatre Kent and Chatham Cultural Center, The Lung Association of Ontario, Heart and Stroke Association of Ontario, Community Living of Chatham and Maple City Senior Center. She was an active participant during the Festival of Nations and Heritage Days in Chatham.

During her lifetime, Francesca served in the Italian Navy, extensively traveled as an Au Pair, and was fluent in 5 different languages.
Her passions included; travel, music, theater, the arts, science, medicine, astronomy, history, nature, animals, world culture, religion and psychology. She loved her family and developed very special friends during her lifetime.

Unfortunately due to the global pandemic and the unfortunate repercussions of COVID-19, a Celebration of Life gathering will be deferred to a later date. It will be held at Studio One, at the Chatham Cultural Center.

Any charitable donations can be made in memory of Francesca Allinson to Chatham Kent Hospice. They are an amazing and wonderful group of individuals who took amazing care of her.

  15. My sympathy to you, Francesca’s family, as you mourn her passing from your physical lives. I worked with Francesca in the hospital gift shop and when she moved on to the Nevada ticket station in the lobby I looked forward to the fun conversations when she returned to the shop at 3 p.m. to check out. She was grateful to you, Tracy, for her self contained home in your home in North Carolina. A very classy lady, I thought, and after all she went through during this illness, maintained her beautiful smile. I “knew” her through this hospital connection for many years but certainly regret not sharing more time with her.
Comfort and peace to you all.
