Elizabeth Gagner

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elizabeth Mae Gagner on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at Copper Terrace Long Term Care. Born in Chatham 79 years ago to the late Fred and Winnie Rice. Wife of over 50 years of Francis “Butch” Gagner. Mother of Brad and Brenda. Grandmother of Mike Walker (Stephanie), Amanda Kelley (Kevin). Great grandmother of Kaiden ( Jackie) and Kristian Walker. Sister of Kenneth Rice (Jackie), Shirley Siddall (the late Craig). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her siblings Lorna List, Larry and James. Elizabeth enjoyed many years as part of St Ursula’s Parish Choir and also a member of St Vincent De Paul. Elizabeth and Butch cherished exotic travel and relaxing yet adventurous vacations, visiting such places as Alaska, Hawaii, cross-Canada train journey and many gorgeous Cruises. Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society or the Kidney Foundation. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Chatham. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Those planning to attend the funeral mass are requested to  pre-register by calling 519-351-4444 to reserve a place due to the current COVID-19 restrictions. Arrangements entrusted to Life Transitions Burial and Cremation Service Inc.

  17. Betty Anne Mercer went to school with Elizabeth at Queen Elizabeth Eugene st always remembered her over the years. Moved away 1964 Burlington ont. May Elizabeth rest in peace
