  1. Lovely photo of an incredibly lovely man. I am grateful to have spent time, sadly a short time, with him.
I look forward to celebrating his life.

  2. Jim and I got to know him over the past 2 1/2 years. Ed was a kind and gentle man. He was a man of few words but was always listening to our conversations or had his nose in the paper. Will miss seeing him.

  3. He was a kind and gentle soul in this life, and I imagine he will be the same in the next. Great role model – I enjoyed talking to him at Lori and Scott’s musical events. He would listen attentively to the music, often with a little smile on his face.

  4. I was privileged to know Ed through a 25 year friendship with Lori, Scott, Chris, Graham and their families. I’m sorry there will be no future opportunity to sit and quietly enjoy his company. A good man. Sorry for your loss.

  5. Shelley and I certainly enjoyed having the opportunity to re-acquaint ourselves with Ed since our return to SW Ontario and Lori’s move back to Chatham to take care of her parents. These are the memories we will always treasure! RIP Ed…you will be missed. Condolences Lori and family…sorry we can’t be there in person…you’re in our thoughts as always. 🙁

  6. Chris, Graham and Rachel – we are very sorry to hear about your dad. I got to know Ed through all of Chris’ stories and updates throughout the past 31 years. Please take the time to share your fond memories with your whole family – it will help to ease the sadness. You are in our thoughts. Jeff, Darlene and Victoria Hopper.

  7. Lori, Scott and family, you are in my thoughts. I had the pleasure to meet him and found him to be such a warm gentleman. My deepest sympathies.
