If full casket burial is your chosen service, we will meet with you to obtain the required information and discuss final preparations. At the time of passing, we transport the deceased from place of death, whether it be home, hospital or nursing care facility. During this time, we will meet with City Hall and proceed with making Funeral Service/Celebration of Life, Viewing/Visiting and burial arrangements.
The chosen cemetery is contacted and a casket is prepared for burial. We will then transport the casket to the Funeral Service/Celebration of Life, Viewing/Visiting and/or the cemetery for the burial service.
Staff & Administration Services
We meet with your family to discuss and finalize arrangements, arrange for cemetery assistance, assist in writing newspaper announcement (newspaper costs vary), confirm and arrange details concerning burial.
We prepare documents for signatures required to comply with the Vital Statistics Act, obtain Medical Certificate, register the death and obtain Burial Permit; provide five (5) Proof of Death Certificates (additional Certificates are $5.00 each)
We use our available facilities to shelter and place the deceased into container or casket.
Transportation costs include staff and transportation for the deceased from place of death to the cemetery. This also allows for staff transportation to City Hall for registration. For transfers 50 kms outside of Chatham-Kent/Lambton, there is an additional charge of $1.75/km (return).
