Our hearts are heavy as we say good bye to our husband and father, Barry Lionel Bechard. At home and while surrounded by his loved ones, Barry went to heaven on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was born in Chatham on July 25, 1962 to the late Lionel and Marie Antionette Bechard. His wife Julie will remember him with love. Barry also leaves behind his children, Olivia, Emma, Felicia, Brent, Brittney, Branden, Stephanie, Jeff, Barry Junior and his step-children Cody, Kyle, and Carson. He was brother to Janet, Jamie, Yvonne, Ken, Rick, Linda, he was predeceased by brothers Tim, Gary, Mike, Danny and he will be missed by parents-in-law Gerda and Gary Heyink and special friend Debbie Franklin. The family would like to thank the VON Palliative Care Team for their incredible help. You are welcome to offer condolences to the family during a visitation on Saturday, November 14th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Praise Fellowship Church, 165 Park Avenue East, Chatham. A service to remember Barry will follow at 1:00pm at the church. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Barry’s name are asked to please consider the Praise Fellowship Food Kitchen.

I grew up with Barry and his whole family and lived across the street on Selkirk. We all went to Blessed Sacrament school together. l am so sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to the whole family. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. My mother and l both wish you the best. Take care.

The Bechards house was the GO TO house back in the 70’s. Always a houseful of adults and kids running around, especially on Saturdays when all the nieces and nephews were there.
I went to school with most of the Bechards at Blessed Sacrament.
I would see BARRY out and about and he would always stop to say hello.
