Anne Bradner

Anne “Annie” Bradner of Chatham, Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday October 6, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Loving wife of Dr Norman Bradner. Daughter of the late John and Revecca (Prescon) Copra. Mother of Becky and Brad Hall, and Polly and Mark Jeffries, and the late David Foltz (2007). Grandmother of Ryan (Olivia) Roelens, Madison Jeffries and Jesse Lumley. Sister of John and Elnora Copra, Si and Mid Copra, Nick and Mildred Copra. Annie will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Annie received her Bachelor Degree in Business at Indiana State University. She Worked as an Administrator at Trillium Village in Chatham, although the thing she was most proud of was her family. When her kids said “I love you,” she would respond with “Not as much as I do,” and insisted that they didn’t tell their siblings. Annie enjoyed hosting family gatherings, where she was cooking, baking and playing cards. She also spent time knitting, and reading biographies. Her kind heart touched everyone she knew. She had special memories with Maria and Nick Protopapas, Francis and Nick Protopapas and Nick Buzwah. 

Annie’s family would like to extend thanks and appreciation to the staff at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and Chatham-Kent Hospice with a special thanks to Karen Millard and Dr Trudeau. They would also like to say thank you to the staff at St Andrew’s Residence with a special thank you to Tonya. 

The Bradner family will be remembering Annie privately. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to please consider Chatham-Kent Hospice.

  6. I have done Anne’s hair for her for the last 10 years or so! I always looked forward to seeing her and catching up on our families. She was an absolute joy to be around and just loved getting her blonde hair! I will miss her terribly and send my thoughts to her family and friends that she talked of so fondly
    So honoured to have had the pleasure of knowing Anne and will miss our talks and hugs

  9. Anne was a very special lady, she always had a warm smile and big hug! She touched many lives and will always have a special place in my heart! My condolences go out to her daughters Polly and Becky, friends, family and especially her grandchildren who loved her very much! Huge hugs to all!

  12. Hello Norm… Remember me? I’m so sorry for your loss. She loved you the moment she laid eyes on you. I remember waitressing at banquets and making boasted chicken. Anne loved me like a daughter when my parents couldn’t. I’m so sorry for your loss… there are really no words… God bless you !

  15. I am so sorry for your loss. I will hold in my heart the way your Mom and Norm always welcomed me and Sebastian into their home. We were made to feel like family and the way your mom would hug and kiss Bug when he was there will forever be remembered with great affection. Polly and Becky you are both in my thoughts during this hard and painful time.

    Just found out your Mom died and it came as quite a shock. Your Mom &. Norm were my clients for many years and we formed a valued friendship. I just loved her and always enjoyed our visits and phone calls. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
