Allen Eagleson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allen Joseph Eagleson, a resident of Wallaceburg, formerly of London on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 62. For the past 6 months Al had fought a courageous battle with his double lung transplant. Set back after set back yet he kept fighting. We are all so proud of him and the fight he gave. Al will be sorely missed by all who knew him. From his sense of humour to his compassion for others, Al always had a kind word or a witty comeback.

Sadly missed by brothers Tracey and Susan Eagleson, Scott Eagleson and sisters Deborah Beliveau, Michelle Hickey (Nick Robb), half sister Heather Eagleson. Cherished uncle of Ryan and Stephanie Eagleson (Felix), Brandon and Samantha Eagleson (Lincoln), Jordan and Bridget Eagleson, Lauren Eagleson, Adien Eagleson, Jonathon and Katherine Eagleson (Caleb, Elizabeth, Sadie), Justin and Jeannie Eagleson (Quinton), Alicia and Collin Knight (Colton, Oakley, Harlow), Zachary Hickey. Loving son in law of Mac and Marg Mazurek, Fond brother in law of Bryon and Jennifer Mazurek (Ethan, Nolan, Devon).

Al is predeceased by his first wife Barbara Eagleson (2006), sister Valerie Eagleson-Teetzel (2007), brother Vincent Eagleson (1968), nephew Christopher Eagleson (2021), niece Clara Mazurek (2018) and grandparents Elzear and Marion Goure. 19. We only met Al once or twice but his kindness and compassion were our first impressions in our interactions with him. He was someone we liked immediately.
Our deepest condolences to Amy, Dawson, Ben and all of Al’s family on the loss of this special man.

  20. Al became a big part of our lives from the moment Amy introduced him to us. His humour, good nature, and his obvious devotion to our daughter endeared him to us. Their marriage was one of the highlights of our lives, and Amy’s too! The intervening years were good ones with fun get togethers and the privilege of meeting you, the warm and friendly Eagleson family. Al’s struggle with health issues was painful to see but he fought on. Words cannot express the sense of loss we feel now nor our sadness for your loss. Al enriched our lives and will remain in our hearts and minds with gratitude for having known him. Unfortunately, we cannot hug each of you due to the virtual meeting place we are in but know that we do hug you in our minds and hearts. Love to you all.

We want to thank those who have expressed their condolences to us and through us to the members of Al’s extended family. You are very much appreciated.

  22. Amy, Dawson and Ben on behalf of the Eagleson family, we wish to express our deepest condolences on Al’s passing. Not everyone can be lucky enough to have 2 great loves in their lives, but Al was. He has an angel in Heaven, and very, very, special angel here on earth. When Al met you his life changed, he was happy, eager to start a new life with a someone who loved him to the end of the world. He couldn’t say enough about you, he loved you so deeply, you were his whole world.
Amy you were his best friend, lover, co-worker, and nurse, protector, his voice, his legs & arms. You fought for him every inch of the way, you made sure he got the best care possible, you never gave up, you fought right to the end. You never left his side for one minute, myself and the family can’t thank you enough for loving him that much. Marriage made us related but love made us family.

We wish to thank everyone who supported Al’s Gofundme page and to everyone who gave him so much love and encouragement to keep fighting. Without all of you he couldn’t have fought so hard to get through this, unfortunately it never was meant to be. We thank you all for your condolences, donations and support you have given all of us. We appreciate every call, and inquiring in offering help. Thank you again from the bottom of our heart.

Trudy, (Mom) brothers Tracy, Scott, sisters Debbie Beliveau and Michelle Hickey.
