Allan VanZetten “AJ”

We announce the peaceful passing of Allan John VanZetten “AJ” on Tuesday March 30, 2021 at the Chatham Kent Hospice. Born in Brantford 68 years ago. Son of the late Gysbert (deceased 1979) and wife Cornelia “Cora” (deceased 2007). Husband of the late Diane (deceased 2013). Father of Bert John VanZetten “BJ” (Monica) and the late Christopher VanZetten (deceased 1983). Allan is the brother of Gysbert (Lois), Peter, William (Sandra), Benjamin, Elizabeth (Mark), Anita (Michaud), and the late Walter (deceased 2019). Survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Allan enjoyed his life doing all he could do. He enjoyed music, fishing, good times at the Moose Lodge and his faithful canine friend Buster Bandit. He loved his motorcycles. Playing with his cars and trucks, he was a great mechanic. He will be remembered as a regular rider for Port Dover Friday the 13th runs, not only the guy with a Gold Wing but the guy with a heart of gold. Allan was loved by all that knew him. A celebration of Allan’s will be planned at a later date.
