  2. Seeing this notice of Allan’s passing leaves me speechless. I have known Allan most of his life. We attended S.S. # 9, Vosburg School; and I spent many an hour at the Van Horne Homestead hanging out, and many more hours down at the river. I remember the days when MADD Magazine was a highlight of his teenage years; and the patience and love that his mother Mary displayed. She loved his antics, as did we who were blessed with his friendship. Those were the days. Allan’s smile was one of a kind. When I think of Allan…I automatically envision his smile. Although life carved separate paths for each of us, like the time the old beat-up boat…that once drifted us from shore without a paddle. Regardless, we always took time to talk, share a few catch up stories when we connected on the street. I almost asked Pete Dejonge last Sunday if he had talked to Allan lately. Funny how life works. Here it is Wednesday, and I read his obituary. Yes, Allan, you will always be REMEMBERED.
FAREWELL DEAR FRIEND…UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. Yes, we both liked Roy Roger’s and Dale Evan’s.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
    With Friendship,
    Wayne Mardling
