  3. Al was a great raconteur and lived telling bad jokes. He was also a talented craftsman who could put his hand to a wide variety of jobs.
He was a favourite visitor to our late friend Dirk Verbeek at The Village.
    He is missed.

  4. Al was a very happy cheerful person who always looked at the bright side of life no matter how difficult life experiences impacted him. Thank you Al for showing me how to live a positive life.

  5. Al and I were telephone buddies 2 or 3 times a month for 7+ years and although we never met in person I grew to respect and admire Al for his cheerful, optimistic attitude. He was always concerned about his fellow man and always thinking about ways to help them. His healthshare news e-mails were one example of Al trying to educate people on health and nutrition.
I’ll miss his phone calls which always started with ’it’s Al from on Ontario’ so goodbye my phone friend and my condolences to his friends and family
