I was deeply saddened when I received the call from Nancy that my dear friend had passed away. I had the pleasure of working with Aggie at Thamesview Lodge for many years and our friendship continued long after we both retired. Our Belgium heritage brought us even closer. We enjoyed shopping together, going for breakfast and speaking our native language. I will miss my beautiful friend and know she is at peace with her Lord. Love you Aggie

I am very saddened to hear about your loss.

    She will be greatly missed…

I will never forget those wonderful moments when my favourite Aunt Aggie (A.K.A “Aunt Eggie”) was the spirit of our gatherings, one of her many greater legacies. She always made everyone feel welcomed. When my Dad and she were together, I saw the most beautiful side of Dad, because she had a magical way of bringing out his playful boyish charm. Their many, many interesting stories, of “The Old Country”, that kept me very intrigued which helped me regain a real perspective who I was, what our family represented, most importantly, to feel proud of who we are and what we become.
It was our Aunt who was the one who fed us until we dropped, 🙂 and in my opinion, prepared the greatest decadent deserts. When Uncle Bud and Aunt Aggie came to our house for a visit, it was ALWAYS a great pleasure to make them a cup (or two) of red rose. We all knew, (including Dad), it was going to be a fun visit.
(Uncle Bud you always taught us cool things such as Morse code, ie, the complex telecommunication of encoding text characters as standardized sequences. Not to forget, you opened us up to the extraordinary “sweet world” of honey bees and you let us into extraordinarily miniature universe of trains. I’ll never forget that.)

Our BC family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

    Love you all.
